Fellows will collaborate with CDT staff to inform and advance research and policy work on emerging technology issues. They are expected to contribute original content, participate in policy briefings, and help bridge the gap between academic research and public-interest policy.
Externs support the Center for Democracy & Technology by conducting research and drafting reports on civil liberties and human rights related to technology. Depending on the track, responsibilities include legal analysis, policy advocacy, technical evaluation, or nonprofit communications.
