The VP of Creative will oversee the agency's creative vision, managing a remote team of designers and strategists to ensure high-quality output across all client projects. They are responsible for leading new business pitches, defining creative standards, and collaborating with cross-functional leads to deliver innovative experiential marketing programs.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
This position will oversee the vision driving the creative output across the entire agency, overseeing all creative team members, including spatial designers, graphic designers and creative strategists. The VP of Creative will define and drive creative vision of all client work, and maintain our Episode.1 standards across all projects. This role blends strong leadership skills, high-level strategic thinking, and flawless creative execution and quality.
VP OF CREATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a remote team of creative directors, creative strategists, 3D designers, and graphic designers, both full-time and freelance
Define and socialize the agency creative vision and standards, maintaining that consistency through all of Episode.1’s work
Set the overall program strategy and vision for each program, while staying involved through execution to ensure that all objectives are met
Collaborate with strategy to insure that all work is supported by a program brief
Partner with cross-functional department leads to set a high standard for program development, design, and delivery
Oversight of all creative design, from 2D/graphic design to 3D/environmental design
Understand each brands’ business objectives and how our programs achieve goals within each of those objectives
Oversee all programming messaging and copy writing for clients
Approve all program social media activity across all channels
Define the program recap, case study, and award submission guidelines for all Episode.1 work
Identify and secure creative resources for each program
Lead RFPs and new business pitches with future clients
Oversee the development and management of the Episode1 brand, through all digital channels and day-to-day assets
Create a culture where creative ideas are shared freely and best-in-class creative work is the standard
Work with Episode1 leadership team to support overall agency growth and maximize efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
12+ years of creative experience managing experiential marketing programs, preferably with 5+ years in a leadership role
Strong ability to develop innovating creative ideas and strategies for a variety of experiential programs
Experience building and resourcing creative teams
Must have great time management skills and a sense of urgency of all projects
Comfort in high-level client engagements - from CMOs to brand managers
Ability to lead teams and be a decisive decision maker
Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to strive in a fast paced environment
Daily use of Microsoft Word / Excel / Power Point, along with Google Docs and Keynote, along with other creative platforms as needed
Ability to travel (a minimum of 15%) and work non-traditional hours based on program schedules
