Position Overview
We are seeking organized, customer-focused individuals to join our remote team as Travel Services Consultant. This role is designed for people who enjoy helping others, researching solutions, coordinating details, and providing dependable service in a virtual environment.
As a Travel Services Consultant, you will support clients as they prepare for upcoming trips. You will gather information about what travelers need, investigate suitable services, assist with reservation coordination, and keep important booking information organized throughout the process.
Travel requests may involve hotels and resorts, cruises, transportation, tours, excursions, vacation packages, family trips, couples getaways, group experiences, and domestic or international destinations.
Previous experience in travel is not required. Training, supplier education, mentorship, and ongoing learning resources are provided.
What You'll Do
- Receive travel inquiries and gather the information necessary to begin researching options
- Learn about client schedules, destination preferences, budgets, interests, and special requests
- Search available supplier resources for hotels, resorts, cruises, transportation, tours, activities, and packaged vacations
- Evaluate available services based on client priorities and requested features
- Organize appropriate options for clients to review
- Explain relevant booking information, package inclusions, availability, and applicable terms
- Assist travelers with coordinating their selected vacation services
- Use approved supplier and reservation systems to arrange requested travel components
- Prepare and share confirmations, schedules, itinerary details, and other relevant information
- Track reservation deadlines, outstanding selections, and information still needed from clients
- Provide timely updates when booking information or travel arrangements change
- Assist with routine reservation modifications and client questions
- Communicate with travelers through phone, email, messaging tools, and virtual appointments
- Contact supplier partners when clarification or additional booking assistance is necessary
- Check reservation records for accurate traveler information, dates, services, and other important details
- Document client communications and booking activity within designated systems
- Continue developing knowledge of destinations, supplier products, promotions, and travel resources
Qualifications
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Providing courteous and professional customer service
- Communicating clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Researching information and identifying relevant solutions
- Organizing multiple details, tasks, and deadlines
- Following established procedures while working independently
- Reviewing information carefully for accuracy
- Managing several client requests in a virtual environment
- Using computers, email, internet-based applications, and digital communication tools
- Learning unfamiliar software and reservation resources
- Following up consistently on outstanding tasks
- Resolving routine issues using available information and resources
- Receiving coaching and participating in ongoing training
Experience in customer support, hospitality, administration, retail, sales, reservations, event coordination, tourism, or other client-service positions can be helpful but is not required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the U.S., U.K., or another qualifying region.
