This role is responsible for reviewing medical and billing documentation, conducting comprehensive case analyses, and collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate the timely and accurate resolution of disputes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in medical records review, healthcare billing and analytical problem-solving while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and evaluate disputes submitted through the Federal IDR Portal to determine eligibility and support dispute resolution activities.
Apply healthcare billing and medical record review expertise to analyze case files using multiple government systems, IDRE platforms and databases.
Collaborate with fellow analysts and cross-functional teams to achieve productivity, quality and timeliness objectives for dispute intake, triage, and resolution.
Conduct detailed case assessments and provide recommendations to support eligibility determinations and other dispute-related decisions.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing documentation and communicate requirements necessary for efficient case processing and resolution.
Recommend process improvements to enhance business operations, workflows, case intake procedures and case management practices.
Research regulatory guidance, industry standards and operational requirements to develop training materials, job aids, policies, and other reference resources.
Collect, validate and analyze data from a variety of sources, including web-based resources, client databases, government systems and internal repositories.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of case reviews, findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
2–4 years of relevant experience in case management, benefits or eligibility processing, health program operations, or similar high-volume, process-driven environments; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, with relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree
Strong attention to detail with ability to manage moderate to high case volumes
Experience with case management systems, CRM platforms, or similar data tools
Ability to follow structured workflows while exercising sound judgment
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Authorized to work in the U.S. with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred
Experience supporting federal or state health programs (e.g., CMS, Medicaid, Medicare)
Familiarity with HIPAA and federal data handling requirements
Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments
