Whether that’s inspiring students, supporting each other, or helping our communities and industries flourish.

We invest in our people
At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.  We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and a variety of flexible working options.

About the role
Join a collaborative and highly engaged teaching team delivering qualifications that support aspiring and emerging leaders in adult education. This temporary part-time opportunity (7 hours per week until 30 June 2027) provides the flexibility to work from home or from a nearby TAFE NSW campus while delivering engaging virtual classes to students seeking to build their leadership capability and professional practice.

You'll play an important role in creating a positive and supportive learning experience, bringing course content to life through your own industry knowledge, leadership experience and contemporary insights. Working closely with a team committed to continuous improvement, you'll contribute ideas, share best practice and help ensure our programs remain relevant, engaging and impactful for students.

About You
You are an experienced professional with leadership experience and a genuine passion for supporting adult learners. Your background may come from a variety of disciplines, enabling you to bring fresh perspectives and real-world examples that enrich the learning experience. You don't simply deliver content - you actively engage students, encourage discussion and create meaningful learning opportunities that build confidence and capability.

You are proactive, adaptable and committed to maintaining your industry currency. Most importantly, you are patient, approachable and student-focused, taking the time to understand individual learning needs and provide the support students need to succeed in both group and one-on-one virtual learning environments. Flexibility to deliver classes during the day and occasionally in the evening will be highly regarded.

To be successful in the role, you will:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and a qualification in Adult Education at Bachelor level or higher (e.g. Bachelor or Master of Adult Education), or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  3. Be prepared to develop and maintain your knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
