Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Dallas, TX:

Job Details:

  • Provide specialized technical input for studies and the design of bridges and other roadrelated infrastructure
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple to complex tests
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement design procedures to support highquality, costeffective work
  • Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and estimates of technical effort for projects
  • Perform qualitycontrol reviews of design calculations and drawings
  • Prepare technical specifications and contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet projectspecific requirements
  • Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the US

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, Site Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, Site Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Pre-stressed concrete bridge design
  2. Steel and concrete segmental and arch bridge design
  3. Stay cable bridge design
  4. Erection engineering
  5. Finite element software, including SOFiSTiK and Midas
  6. Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Revit
