Summary

The Sask DLC is seeking a contractor to expand its collection of STEM resources and kits in identified priority areas. The successful candidate will be contracted for up to 105 days, starting in September 2026. In your cover letter please indicate if your area of specialty and/or experience is elementary and/or secondary grades.

Primary Responsibilities: Create, gather, evaluate, share (to Sask DLC Resource Bank), and organize STEM resources and kits to support Kindergarten to Grade 9 teachers, students and families in Saskatchewan in a structured and organized format, including activities as well as classroom materials.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively develop STEM resources and kits in identified areas.
  • Align existing STEM-related resources in the Sask DLC Resource Bank to Saskatchewan curricular outcomes.
  • Seek out new resources to add to the Sask DLC Resource Bank.
  • Create/enhance STEM Hub(s), and Collections of resources based on the needs of the province (in collaboration and with the support of the Program Development Manager).
  • Organize existing STEM-related resources in the Sask DLC Resource Bank into appropriate hubs and collections.
  • Co-develop a communication plan to showcase and share the Sask DLC Resource Bank and new STEM Resources.
  • Seek out and develop third party company partnerships (providers) of content for the Resource Bank.
  • Where assigned, support other education sector partners by providing learning opportunities related to STEM Resources.
  • The Contractor shall consult with Superintendent of Student Programming or designate regarding the provision of services under this Agreement and provide those services to meet the expectations as outlined by the Superintendent of Student Programming or designate.
  • The Contractor shall regularly report to the Superintendent of Student Programming or designate with respect to the services provided under this Agreement.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Deep understanding of the Saskatchewan STEM-related learning outcomes
  • Comfortable meeting and working in an online environment (Microsoft Teams)
  • Comfortable trying new technology; training will be provided where applicable
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others as well as work independently
  • A growth mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

  • The Sask DLC shall pay the contractor the amount of $450.00 for each day plus GST, based on a minimum of 8 hours per day, in which the Contractor provides services under this agreement.
