The Senior Java Developer will design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot within an AWS cloud environment. They will be responsible for managing relational and NoSQL databases while ensuring high-quality code through TDD and automated CI/CD pipelines.
This is a remote position.
Experience: 12+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java (Java 11/17+ preferred).
Frameworks: Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and microservice ecosystem patterns.
Database Expertise: Deep proficiency in both relational databases (AWS RDS / PostgreSQL / MySQL) and NoSQL engines (DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra).
Cloud Platform: Advanced working knowledge of AWS cloud services, serverless/containerized deployments, and cloud-native architecture.
Engineering Best Practices: Proven track record in TDD/JUnit, Git workflows, domain-driven design (DDD), and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Communication & Hours: Outstanding verbal/written English skills. Based in IST, with the flexibility to cover overlapping hours with US Central Standard Time (CST) when required.
Hands-on experience with event-driven messaging systems (Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS).
AWS Certified Developer or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
