AI Summary

The Solution Architect acts as the day-to-day technical lead, translating architecture decisions into implementation tasks, reviewing all technical deliverables, and serving as the primary escalation point for integration issues. Key duties include designing technical documentation, defining protocol bridge configurations, designing the tag mapping pipeline, and defining the CI/CD and monitoring stacks.

Solution Architect

About Us:

At Codvo, we are committed to building scalable, future-ready data platforms that power business impact. We believe in a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth, where engineers can experiment, learn, and thrive. Join us to be part of a team that solves complex data challenges with creativity and cutting-edge technology.

Role Summary

Day-to-day technical lead for the delivery team. Translates architecture decisions into

implementation tasks, reviews all technical deliverables, and is the primary escalation point for

integration issues. Works closely with the on-site Data Scientist for site-specific decisions.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Maintain the detailed technical design document — component diagrams, data flow, API

contracts, deployment topology

Design the protocol bridge configuration for each site's BMS (OPC-UA endpoint

discovery, BACnet device enumeration, MQTT topic structure)

Design the tag mapping pipeline — auto-mapping rules, manual override workflow,

cross-site tag dictionary maintenance

Define the CI/CD pipeline for platform deployments across sites

Design the monitoring and observability stack — what metrics are collected, what SLOs

are enforced, what alerts fire on platform health (not equipment health)

Implementation Oversight

  • Conduct code reviews for all platform changes — API endpoints, model serving pipeline,
  • data ingestion, CMMS integration
  • Define and enforce coding standards, testing requirements, and documentation expectations for the delivery team
  • Own the integration test strategy — end-to-end tests from BMS data ingestion through alert generation through CMMS work order creation
  • Review and approve all model deployment configurations (MLflow model registry, model versioning, A/B testing setup)
  • Troubleshoot production issues escalated by the Data Engineer or Platform Developer

Coordination

  • Run daily standups with the offshore team (30 min)
  • Provide weekly technical status updates to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate with the on-site Data Scientist on site-specific findings — tag anomalies,
  • equipment behavior that does not match the physics model, alert validation outcomes
  • Maintain the technical risk log and escalate blockers that require CODVO.AI leadership
  • or customer involvement

Expected Background

  • 8+ years in backend systems, distributed architectures, or industrial data platforms
  • Experience with Python, FastAPI or Flask, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, MQTT, and
  • container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with MLflow, model serving patterns, and ML pipeline design
  • Understanding of BMS protocols (OPC-UA, BACnet) — does not need to be an OT
  • specialist but must be able to debug protocol-level integration issues
  • Experience leading a delivery team of 4–6 engineers across time zones
