Position Overview VivSoft Technologies is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer to join the DCSA NBIS DISS/PVAAMS team. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of mission-critical personnel vetting software used across the Department of Defense. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and unit-test application components under the direction of senior engineers
Support CI/CD pipeline execution and monitor automated test results
Assist with bug triage, defect resolution, and regression testing
Document code and contribute to technical documentation and SOPs
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and PI planning events
Support deployment activities in development and test environments
Assist senior staff in maintaining RMF and security documentation
Required Qualifications:
0–2 years of software development experience (internships, academic projects, or professional work)
Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
Basic understanding of version control (Git) and agile development practices
Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire; must be a U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Academic or project experience with automated testing frameworks
Interest in federal IT, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps careers
DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification (Security+) a plus
