Role Summary

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building and maintaining our cloud-native platform services, working under the guidance of senior engineers to deliver well-tested, reliable code. You will participate across the development lifecycle, from design discussions through deployment, and grow your skills in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and observability. Responsibilities:

Feature development

  • Design and build well-tested features and services, primarily in Go, under the guidance of senior engineers.

Code quality

  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming to maintain high standards of code quality and share learning with the team.

CI/CD and deployment

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, building familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation practices.

Observability and reliability

  • Help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for the systems you work on, supporting overall system reliability.

Collaborative problem-solving

  • Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to break down and deliver well-scoped pieces of larger technical initiatives.

Continuous learning

  • Build growing expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and security best practices through hands-on work and mentorship.

Requirements

Must-have skills (required)

  • 2–4 years of experience building and maintaining software systems in a professional setting.
  • Growing proficiency in Go, with a willingness to develop deeper expertise; familiarity with another backend language (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, such as APIs, messaging, and data consistency, with eagerness to deepen this knowledge.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing practices.
  • Familiarity with observability tools and practices, such as logging, metrics, and alerting.
  • Basic understanding of application security principles (e.g., OWASP).
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work under general guidance while progressively taking on more independent ownership of tasks.

Academic and professional requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-have skills (preferred)

  • Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or model evaluation pipelines.
  • Comfortable with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
