Role Summary

Own the end-to-end Flight Metasearch experience across Wego's marketplace. The role is responsible for defining product strategy, prioritising the roadmap, and delivering experiences that improve how millions of travellers discover, compare, and choose flights.

As an individual contributor, the Senior Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Commercial, and Marketing to drive measurable business outcomes. Success in the role is measured through improvements in user acquisition, engagement, search quality, provider performance, conversion, and long-term customer retention, while balancing traveller experience with commercial objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and evolve the long-term vision and strategy for Wego's Flight Metasearch product, aligned with company objectives and marketplace growth.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the competitiveness, scalability, and differentiation of the flight search experience.

  • Translate strategic objectives into measurable product outcomes and success metrics.

2. Product Roadmap & Delivery
  • Own the Flight Metasearch roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.

  • Lead products through the full lifecycle, from discovery and validation through delivery, experimentation, launch, and optimisation.

  • Balance short-term commercial opportunities with long-term platform investments.

3. User Experience & Search Optimisation
  • Champion an intuitive, fast, and reliable flight search experience across every stage of the customer journey.

  • Continuously optimise search relevance, pricing presentation, filtering, comparison, and provider selection to improve customer satisfaction and conversion.

  • Validate product decisions through user research, experimentation, and behavioural insights.

4. Data, Analytics & Performance
  • Partner closely with Data Science and Analytics teams to monitor the health of the Flight Metasearch funnel.

  • Define and track product KPIs, including acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, traffic quality, provider performance, and marketplace efficiency.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities and prioritise improvements.

5. Cross-Functional Product Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Customer teams to deliver high-impact product initiatives.

  • Clearly communicate priorities, product decisions, trade-offs, and roadmap updates to stakeholders across the business.

  • Build alignment around product strategy while balancing technical constraints, customer needs, and commercial objectives.

6. Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor industry trends, customer behaviour, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings across travel and metasearch.

  • Identify opportunities to innovate and strengthen Wego's position within the global travel marketplace.

  • Translate market insights into actionable product initiatives.

7. Risk & Operational Excellence
  • Identify delivery, technical, commercial, and customer risks early, developing mitigation plans to minimise impact.

  • Continuously improve product development processes, experimentation frameworks, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure product decisions support platform stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Who you are:

Required

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with ownership of customer-facing digital products.

  • Experience working with data-driven products, experimentation, and product analytics.

  • Strong understanding of product discovery, roadmap management, prioritisation frameworks, and agile product development.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct management responsibility.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into product decisions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Commercial teams.

Preferred

  • Experience within online travel, flight search, marketplaces, or metasearch platforms.

  • Familiarity with airline distribution, OTA ecosystems, pricing, or travel technology.

  • Experience with A/B testing, search ranking, recommendation systems, or personalisation.

  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of balancing customer experience and revenue outcomes.
