Akamai Workforce Protector team!

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to develop complex security capabilities and own cloud-native microservices that protect millions of enterprise workspaces globally. You will join a growing, values-driven team, contribute to our design forum, and solve hard engineering challenges.

In this role you will be:

• Designing and developing complicated security capabilities to defend against evolving web-based threats, shadow AI, and native desktop data exposure.
• Taking ownership of a mission-critical, cloud-native microservice architecture that safeguards millions of workspaces globally, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Developing cutting-edge capabilities for GenAI and AI usage control, integrating our cloud-native backend with browser extensions and OS-level endpoint agents.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Product Management, and Security Experts to rapidly release secure, scalable code multiple times per day.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, an equivalent technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Be highly proficient in at least one of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Rust.
• Have hands-on experience in data modeling and relational databases.
• Have experience building complex data pipelines and high-throughput architectures, specifically utilizing event-streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Demonstrate experience developing cloud-native microservices using modern cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Be familiar with containerization, orchestration, and GitOps workflows using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and ArgoCD.
