The Payroll Administrator will process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of UK clients, including calculating gross-to-net pay and statutory deductions. They are also responsible for managing employee data, ensuring accurate HMRC reporting, and resolving payroll discrepancies.

We are recruiting on behalf of an established UK professional services business looking to add an experienced Payroll Administrator to their growing team.
This is a fully remote opportunity based in South Africa, working closely with a UK-based team and supporting a varied portfolio of clients with their payroll requirements.
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple payrolls and deadlines. You'll need a strong eye for detail and, importantly, be confident communicating with clients and colleagues in the UK.
Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of UK clients.
Calculating gross-to-net pay, overtime, bonuses, holiday pay and statutory payments.
Processing PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other payroll deductions.
Managing new starters, leavers and changes to employee information.
Processing workplace pension and auto-enrolment requirements.
Completing RTI submissions and other required HMRC payroll reporting.
Producing and issuing payslips and payroll reports.
Supporting year-end payroll processes, including P60s.
Checking payroll information thoroughly to ensure accuracy before submission.
Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies or errors.
Responding to client payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records.
Previous experience working within UK payroll is highly desirable.
Experience processing multiple payrolls or working within a payroll bureau/accountancy environment would be an advantage.
Good understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and UK payroll processes.
Knowledge of workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
Strong Excel and general computer skills.
Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise your workload.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Professional and trustworthy when handling confidential employee and client information.
