Kiratech is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team.

Our QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software we deliver. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and sometimes clients directly, to deliver fit-for-market software that meets user expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Software Tester, doing end-to-end application testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance principles.
  • Experienced in manual testing (end-to-end, smoke, regression, usability).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and bug reports.
  • Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Testiny or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in automation testing and script writing (e.g. Selenium) is a plus.
  • Candidate with ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) would be preferred/a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your day-to-day tasks will mainly include, but not limited to:

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify and resolve software defects.
  • Perform end-to-end, smoke, regression, and usability testing across projects.
  • Triage customer-reported support tickets, reproduce the issue, and provide comprehensive reproduction steps for engineering.
  • Document and report bugs clearly, then track them through to resolution.
  • Suggest feature enhancements based on testing and analysis.
  • Ensure the final software release meets requirements before sign-off.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and project managers throughout the testing cycle.
  • Communicate with clients on testing status, bugs, and fixes, with support from the PM.
