The Language Services team within ICON is seeking highly skilled and experienced COA/eCOA Project Manager/Associate Project Manager to strengthen our services in China. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project & client management, technical expertise in TMS & CAT tools, and experience in translation and localization.

What You Will Do:

As a Project Manager/Associate Project Manager within ICON Language Services, you will be responsible for managing translation projects for clients, starting from initial communication before project launch, including alignment on project scope and costs, through to overall project management, including coordination with internal and external translators, progress management, quality control, and final delivery.

These positions report to a manager based in EMEA.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the planning, execution, and delivery of global and local COA/eCOA projects, ensuring alignment with Industry standards & regulatory requirements,
  • Managing local COA/eCOA projects for China with a fast turnaround time,
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in and outside China to secure deliverables,
  • Liaise & collaborate with Local client representatives in China to manage expectations & monitor project progress,
  • Developing detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, while monitoring progress to ensure successful COA project outcomes,
  • Facilitating communication and stakeholder engagement to promote collaboration and address any project-related challenges.
  • Coordinate between team members and clients throughout project execution.
  • Select and assign translators and reviewers according to project requirements.
  • Conduct final checks of deliverables and coordinate delivery to clients.

Your Profile:


Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in life science, linguistic project management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred,
  • PM position: +5 years of experience in COA/translation/localization project management at a translation company or in a corporate translation department,
  • APM position: +2 years of experience in COA/translation/localization project management at a translation company or in a corporate translation department,
  • Business level Chinese and English proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with a focus on achieving project goals and timelines, with high quality standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in all project-related activities.
  • Strong technical skills, familiarity with translation management systems and CAT tools,
  • Quality oriented and problem-solving abilities
