We are seeking a Screening Social Worker who will combine clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills in a fast-paced business environment. Screening Social Workers at Circle are responsible for conducting full psychosocial evaluations with surrogacy candidates and their primary support person. The screening social worker will assess the candidate’s psychosocial suitability for surrogacy, document findings in an assessment, and create a profile for intended parents to review during the matching process. 

In this role, Screening Social Workers are expected to collaborate with internal and external teams to fully assess candidacy and produce thorough written assessments promptly. The social worker role is critical to the company’s business operations and vital to Circle’s superior customer service and support to our clients. This role is a good fit for social workers looking for opportunities that extend beyond a traditional social work environment.

What you’ll do: 

  • Review candidate files to prepare for screening assessments 
  • Coordinate and conduct video/phone psychosocial assessments with surrogate applicants and their primary support person 
  • Produce written assessments and profiles for candidates to be used in the matching process with intended parents and for purposes related to the IVF process
  • Provide psychoeducation around surrogacy process and expectations for Circle surrogates
  • Collaborate closely with the intake and matching teams to ensure a smooth transition for the surrogate candidate throughout the screening process
  • Document important data in agency database and provide weekly/monthly/annual reports as requested
  • Act as a contributing team player to the Social Work team, participating in regular case review meetings and collaborating to meet team goals 

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution desired
  • Successful completion of ASWB Master level examination
  • Licensure in good standing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask/prioritize
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive work deadlines
  • Team player; comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment and collaborating with others on a regular basis 

 Additional preferences: 

  • Work experience in adoption/IVF/ third-party reproduction
