Position Overview
GreenWorks Engineering & Design is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Professional Engineer (PE – State of Texas required) to establish and lead our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) division.

Key Responsibilities
Division Leadership & Growth
- Build, develop, and lead the MEP division from inception
- Establish design standards, workflows, and QA/QC procedures
- Recruit, mentor, and manage future MEP team members
- Work closely with company leadership on strategic growth initiatives
Engineering & Design
- Lead the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various project types
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, and calculations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal and external design teams
Project & Client Management
- Manage projects from concept through construction
- Serve as Engineer of Record for applicable projects in Texas
- Communicate directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Business Development
- Assist in proposal development, fee estimates, and client presentations
- Identify opportunities to expand MEP services
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Minimum Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
- 8+ years of MEP design experience
- Proven experience managing projects and coordinating across disciplines
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design software
Work Environment
- Remote / Work-from-home position
- Travel required for site visits, client meetings, and project coordination as needed
