AI Summary

Interns will either develop blockchain infrastructure and demo applications in the Technology track or drive enterprise adoption and partnerships in the Growth track. Both roles involve contributing to the BSV ecosystem through technical implementation or strategic outreach and education.

Internship Opportunities – BSV Association

Remote – Full-time, 4-6 month internships (Technology or Growth tracks available)

Proceed at your own risk, this isn’t another boring job description that makes you tired just reading it. In fact, it’s the opposite. If any of this resonates with you, then just maybe you’re our newest recruit to onboard.

  • You care, genuinely. You want to see blockchain used for real, meaningful impact, not just hype, and that shows in how you work.
  • Self-Starter – you see a problem and can't help but start fixing it (entrepreneurial mindset).
  • Critical Thinker. Strategic, highly analytical and not afraid to ask “why are we doing it this way?”
  • Goal-Oriented. You set your sights on something and go get it.
  • Great Communicator.  You can hold your own in a room full of different points of view and still find common ground.
  • Genuinely Curious. Blockchain, cryptography, and distributed systems fascinate you, not just because they're useful, but because they're genuinely cool.
  • Problem-Solver. Bugs don't scare you off, they pull you in.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Self-Motivated. You don't need or want someone looking over your shoulder to do great work.

At BSV Association, we're not just building blockchain infrastructure - we're out to prove that blockchain can genuinely make the world better. BSV Association is a Switzerland-based non-profit and the global advocate for the BSV blockchain, on a mission to unlock its full potential as a scalable, secure, energy-efficient public blockchain built for data integrity, enterprise solutions, and government applications. We're a small, ambitious, deeply passionate team and we're looking for people who get just as fired up about this mission as we are.

Here's where we spend our energy:

  • Hosting, supporting, and promoting open-source BSV infrastructure and tooling
  • Stewarding the protocol to ensure it remains stable, secure, and faithful to the original Bitcoin design
  • Building an ecosystem of developers, enterprises, and academic partners that solve real-world problems with BSV technology
  • Educating communities on how to use and implement the technology
  • Advancing the state-of-the-art in BSV development through industry standards, reference implementations, and Teranode-scale infrastructure

We're on the hunt for driven, curious interns to join us across two tracks - Technology and Growth - or a full-time, 4-6 month adventure (start date flexible). Whichever track you land in, you'll be joining a small, committed, genuinely enthusiastic international team, with a real seat at the table to help shape the exciting new frontiers of the BSV Blockchain, not just watch from the sidelines.

Expect hands-on experience, real-world problems and a front-row seat to how blockchain adoption actually happens, not just how it looks in a whitepaper. You'll work alongside a global crew of experts who care deeply about what they're building and you'll come away with a serious head start on understanding enterprise blockchain adoption and a portfolio of work you're proud of.

TECHNOLOGY TRACK

If you love getting your hands dirty with code and want to help build tools that make blockchain development feel less like “blockchain” and more like great software development then this is your track.

A core focus of the Technology track is the BSV distributed application stack: an open-source, modular framework where applications talk to wallets through standard interfaces, removing the vendor lock-in that still affects most web2 and web3 apps. Every service — storage, messaging, overlays, and more — is a micropayment-powered microservice that anyone can run and compete on, with SPV (Simple Payment Verification, as described in section 8 of the Bitcoin whitepaper) keeping the system scalable, private, and lightweight.

Within Technology, interns typically focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Core Protocol & Infrastructure – contributing to Rust libraries (rs-sdk, rust-wallet-toolbox) and Teranode-scale infrastructure that underpins the network.
  • Developer Experience (DX) – making it easier and more delightful for external developers to build on BSV: improving onboarding flows, SDK and API documentation, quickstart guides, sample code, CLI tooling, and error messages, and gathering developer feedback to identify and squash friction points.
  • Applications & Demos – building small-scale demo applications and proofs of concept that showcase BSV capabilities such as micropayments, tokenization, and smart contracts.
  • Ecosystem Tools – contributing to widely used ecosystem tooling such as WhatsOnChain, the BSV node block explorer.

Technology – Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with the tech team to deliver demo and proof of concept applications.
  • Assist in integrating and testing open-source BSV infrastructure components into real-world applications.
  • Contribute to documentation on the BSV developer hub (hub.bsvblockchain.org), as well as bug fixes and improvements across BSV-related tools and libraries.
  • Improve quickstart guides, sample code, and onboarding flows so external developers can get up and running with BSV tools more easily.
  • Gather developer feedback and help identify friction points in SDKs, APIs, and tooling, proposing and implementing improvements.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of BSV blockchain solutions.
  • Build small-scale demo applications showcasing BSV blockchain capabilities (e.g., micropayments, tokenization, smart contracts).
  • Work with frontend (JavaScript/React) and backend (TypeScript/Python/Go/Rust) frameworks to create user-friendly blockchain demos.
  • Help shape early-stage Rust libraries in the BSV stack, including rs-sdk and rust-wallet-toolbox (github.com/bsv-blockchain), where contributions can have outsized impact.
  • Contribute to development work on WhatsOnChain, the BSV node block explorer used widely across the ecosystem.
  • Assist in refining and optimizing existing demo projects for better performance and usability.
  • Participate in designing and developing blockchain-based PoCs for different use cases, with full support from the technology team — many of these are published in the bsv-blockchain-demos GitHub organisation (github.com/bsv-blockchain-demos).
  • Conduct research on emerging blockchain trends and propose innovative implementations.
  • Engage in code reviews, testing, and debugging to improve software quality.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving BSV developer tools and ecosystem growth.

GROWTH TRACK

If you love the idea of helping enterprises, partners, and everyday people finally “get” blockchain, and get excited about it then this is your track.

The Growth track is all about expanding BSV adoption through commercial partnerships, ecosystem development, and community education. Interns in this track work closely with our Growth and Ecosystem teams, helping enterprises, developers, and institutions understand and actually adopt BSV.

Within Growth, interns typically focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Business Development - identifying and qualifying new enterprise and public-sector opportunities for BSV adoption, supporting outreach and lead generation, and helping craft proposals and pitch materials that land.
  • Partnerships -  supporting onboarding and relationship management for ecosystem partners (enterprises, academic institutions, technology providers), and coordinating joint initiatives and co-marketing opportunities.
  • Education -  developing educational content, training materials, and workshops that help developers, enterprises, and the public understand BSV, and supporting the ambassador programme and other community education initiatives.

Growth – Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the Growth team in researching and identifying potential enterprise, academic, and public-sector partners.
  • Assist in preparing outreach materials, pitch decks, and partnership proposals.
  • Help coordinate and track partnership agreements, follow-ups, and onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of educational content, webinars, and workshops for developers and the wider community.
  • Support the ambassador programme and other community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with market research on blockchain adoption trends, competitor activity, and enterprise use cases.
  • Help produce case studies, one-pagers, and other materials that communicate BSV’s value proposition to enterprises and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Technology and Marketing teams to ensure messaging and materials are accurate and up to date.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for growing BSV’s ecosystem and partner network.
