Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Functional QA Testerwith strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenterto support end-to-end validation of PolicyCenter implementations, upgrades, and integrations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing PolicyCenter from the UI layer, validating the full insurance policy lifecycle, and ensuring the accuracy of rating, transactions, and system integrations across the platform.

This role requires solid experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance systems, strong functional testing capabilities, and the ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriafor PolicyCenter features and integrations.

• Design and create test scenarios and test casescovering the full insurance policy lifecycle, including:

  • New Business

  • Policy Change

  • Renewal

  • Cancellation

  • Rewrite

  • Reinstatement

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end (E2E/SIT) testingacross:

  • UI

  • batch processes

  • system interfaces

• Validate rating and pricing calculations, ensuring results match reference calculations and specifications.

• Verify forms, documents, transactions, and policy datawithin the system.

• Perform defect identification, logging, triage, retesting, and closureusing defect management tools.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Integration teams, and Data Migration teams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including:

  • backlog grooming

  • sprint planning

  • daily stand-ups

  • sprint reviews

  • retrospectives

• Contribute to test data preparation, including complex multi-policy and multi-account scenarios.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)and production validation activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working as a QA / Tester in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance projects.

• Hands-on experience testing Guidewire PolicyCenteror similar policy administration systems.

• Solid understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle, including underwriting, rating, forms, and policy transactions.

• Experience performing integration testingwith systems such as:

  • Billing systems

  • Claims systems

  • Data platforms

  • External services / APIs / ESB integrations

• Proficiency using test management and defect tracking tools, such as:

  • JIRA

  • Zephyr

  • Micro Focus ALM / Octane

• Good SQL knowledgefor validating policy data, risk data, premium calculations, and transaction records.

• Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments.

• Strong communication and documentation skills in English.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Guidewire certifications such as InsuranceSuite Analyst or PolicyCenter Specialist.

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations.

• Exposure to test automation frameworkssuch as:

  • Selenium

  • Tosca

• Experience in data migration testingfor PolicyCenter conversions.
