We are looking for an experienced Functional SME – FMCG Panel Data & Revenue Growth Management to provide deep domain expertise across FMCG panel data, commercial analytics, and Revenue Growth Management (RGM). The ideal candidate will combine strong understanding of FMCG business processes with hands-on experience in data analytics and Python to transform complex market and sales data into actionable business insights.

The role will work closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, data scientists, and technology teams to define analytical requirements, develop data-driven solutions, identify revenue and margin opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across pricing, promotions, assortment, and trade investments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Functional Subject Matter Expert for FMCG panel data, commercial analytics, and Revenue Growth Management.
  • Analyze FMCG panel data to understand market performance, category trends, brand performance, channel dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and support RGM initiatives covering pricing, pack-price architecture, promotions, assortment, mix optimization, and trade investment effectiveness.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical frameworks, data requirements, KPIs, and actionable insights.
  • Work with large and complex datasets to identify revenue growth opportunities, performance gaps, and market trends.
  • Use Python and data analytics techniques for data preparation, exploratory analysis, statistical analysis, automation, and insight generation.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and technology teams to define data structures, validation rules, transformations, and analytical requirements.
  • Build analytical models and dashboards to monitor key FMCG metrics such as volume, value, market share, price realization, promotional uplift, distribution, and profitability.
  • Evaluate pricing and promotional effectiveness and provide recommendations to improve revenue, margins, and market performance.
  • Support scenario analysis and business simulations to assess the impact of pricing, promotions, assortment, and other commercial decisions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across panel datasets and analytical outputs.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and commercially relevant manner.

Must-Have Skills

  • 8–14 years of experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail Analytics, Commercial Analytics, or related domains.
  • Strong expertise in FMCG Panel Data, including interpretation, analysis, validation, and application of syndicated/market data.
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles and commercial levers.
  • Hands-on experience with pricing, promotions, assortment, trade spend, category performance, and mix optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Data Analytics, including data manipulation, analysis, automation, and statistical techniques.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG KPIs, market dynamics, sales performance, and consumer/category trends.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

Good to Have

  • Experience with tools such as Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or machine learning.
  • Experience working with syndicated data providers and large-scale consumer or retail datasets.
  • Understanding of category management, sales planning, demand analytics, or commercial strategy.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
