Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack. This is a hands-on development position requiring advanced experience with modern .NET technologies, React, RESTful APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities

Application Design and Development

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework 4.x, and modern .NET platforms.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and system integrations using ASP.NET Web API.
  • Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs, databases, and enterprise services.
  • Design and implement scalable data solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Modernize and migrate legacy applications to current .NET platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement effective, sustainable solutions.

Requirements Analysis and Solution Design

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and technical team members to understand business and system requirements.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and system specifications.
  • Provide level-of-effort estimates, identify technical risks, and recommend development strategies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Testing and Software Quality

  • Develop unit tests to validate application components and business logic.
  • Implement automated testing using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
  • Develop integration tests for APIs, databases, and service interactions.
  • Create front-end test coverage using Jest, React Testing Library, or comparable tools.
  • Design applications with testability, maintainability, and long-term supportability in mind.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and help maintain engineering quality standards.
  • Support application security testing, including remediation of SAST and DAST findings.
  • Maintain appropriate test coverage for critical application functionality.

Engineering Standards and Security

  • Apply modern software engineering practices, including clean architecture, reusable design patterns, and secure coding principles.
  • Review pull requests and provide clear, constructive technical feedback.
  • Ensure applications meet applicable security, performance, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Produce clean, well-documented, and supportable code.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers.
  • Promote best practices in secure coding, automated testing, code quality, and maintainable application design.
  • Lead or support legacy application modernization and refactoring efforts.
  • Contribute to technical decisions and solution architecture discussions.
  • Serve as a senior hands-on technical contributor within the development team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate can translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions while contributing throughout the full development lifecycle. The developer should be capable of thinking strategically about application architecture while remaining actively involved in coding, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation.

This position is focused on application development and software engineering best practices. Collaboration with infrastructure and DevOps teams is expected; however, direct responsibility for infrastructure administration or CI/CD pipeline management is not required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework 4.x, and modern .NET platforms.
  • Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Proficiency with React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design and development.
  • Experience implementing unit, integration, and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications to .NET 8 or later.
  • Experience designing scalable microservices or service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience developing applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems, APIs, or messaging platforms.
  • Experience conducting secure code reviews and remediating application security findings.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 and accessible web-development practices.
  • Experience with mobile application development or integration, including iOS, Android, React Native, or .NET MAUI.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Eight or more years of professional software development experience.

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any security clearance or access requirements associated with the position.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 to $155,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
