Freelancer Translator Chinese Simplified & Traditional (m/f/d)

Are you fluent in Chinese Simplified & Traditional and passionate about Albion Online? We’re looking for a talented Chinese Translator and Proofreader to join our team and help bring our content to life!

Who we are

Sandbox Interactive is the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online. The game is the first true cross-platform MMO, and is playable on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android with more than 350.000 daily players and over 2 million monthly visitors on our website. We started as a small independent group of experienced gaming professionals in 2012, and now employ an international team of more than 100 people. Since 2020, Sandbox Interactive has been part of the Stillfront Group. Our team is passionate about making Albion Online the best game it can be, and we’re constantly on the lookout for talented individuals to join our growing team in the heart of Berlin.

What you'll be working on:

• Translating, post-editing and proofreading in-game text, patch notes, news articles, and video subtitles

• All tasks will be completed using a CAT tool provided by SBI

What we are looking for:

• A skilled Chinese Simplified & Traditional translator (experience in game localization is a plus!)

• Solid post-editing and proofreading skills to ensure the highest quality content

What we offer:

• Compensation: Paid per word (invoiced monthly)

• Time Commitment: approximately 5–10 hours per week

• Turnaround Time: typical turnaround time of 2–3 working days

This role is well suited for freelancers or professionals looking for additional, ongoing work alongside their existing commitments. As we work with scheduled releases and publishing timelines, we do rely on translators to meet agreed deadlines and maintain consistent availability.
