Position Summary

The EHR Implementation Analyst plays a key role in delivering healthcare technology solutions that connect providers, laboratories, and clinical systems. This position supports the implementation, testing, and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR), laboratory information system (LIS), and related healthcare integrations to ensure the accurate and efficient exchange of clinical information.

Working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams, this role supports interface implementations from planning through production while helping resolve technical issues and improve the overall client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare IT professional looking to build expertise in interoperability, systems integration, and implementation project delivery.

What You'll Do

Implementation & Project Support

  • Support the implementation of EHR, LIS, and other healthcare system interfaces.
  • Configure, test, validate, and document interface solutions.
  • Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements and support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project milestones, communicate project status, and escalate risks or issues when needed.
  • Ensure implementations are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Support healthcare interoperability initiatives, including HL7-based interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot interface connectivity issues, including SFTP and VPN connections.
  • Provide Level II support for production interfaces and implementation-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Client Support, Help Desk, and technical teams to resolve complex system issues.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

Documentation, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Maintain implementation documentation, testing records, and project deliverables.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes and workflows.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare IT, systems implementation, technical support, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting healthcare applications, EHR platforms, or clinical systems preferred.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with HL7 standards and healthcare interoperability concepts.
  • Experience with interface engines, such as Corepoint, preferred.
  • Understanding of laboratory information systems (LIS) and clinical workflows preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including SFTP and VPN connectivity.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting technical solutions, and supporting implementation projects.
