Position Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Bilingual Spanish SLP and/or Special Educator to join our Early Intervention team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct comprehensive evaluations of children suspected of having a developmental delay. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, as well as proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as the PLS-5 and DAYC 2.  Ideally, this would be in-person in the child’s home in your preferred NYC borough; but can also be conducted via Telehealth with parent consent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of children suspected of having a developmental Delay
  • Utilize standardized assessment tools, including but not limited to the PLS-5 and/or DAYC 2
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Provide support and guidance to families throughout the evaluation process.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations.
  • Stay current with research and best practices related to EI assessment and intervention.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist or Special Educator with a Birth -Grade 2 certification in NYS.
  • Minimum of 1year of experience working with children and families, preferably in an early intervention or clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with standardized diagnostic tools such as PLS-5 and/or DAYC-2.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and evidence-based practices for assessment and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities a plus.
