Dispatch Coordinator

Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Dispatch Coordinator for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

You'll own the daily dispatch schedule for a UK business — booking carriers, tracking shipments, and getting ahead of delays before the customer notices them.

Most days run to plan. The value you add is on the days they do not, when a carrier misses a collection and someone needs to fix it before the customer calls.

You will work UK business hours from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book daily collections and deliveries with carriers
• Produce shipping labels, manifests and export paperwork
• Track shipments in transit and resolve exceptions with carriers
• Keep customers and internal teams updated on delivery status
• Investigate late, damaged or missing deliveries and log claims
• Report on carrier performance and dispatch volumes

What you'll need

• Experience coordinating dispatch, courier or delivery operations
• Familiarity with carrier portals such as DPD, DHL, UPS or Royal Mail
• Confident handling exceptions and chasing resolution
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for scheduling and reporting
• Clear communication under time pressure

Nice to have

• Exposure to international shipping and customs paperwork
• Experience with a WMS or TMS platform
• Understanding of SLA and delivery performance reporting
