Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Data Engineers to join our Data & Analytics development team to support a large-scale data modernisation programme. This initiative focuses on migrating the existing analytics platform from Oracle to Microsoft Fabric.

The selected candidates will work closely with an established Agile team and help advance delivery across several coordinated workstreams within an evolving delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the migration of semantic models (lift-and-shift) into Microsoft Fabric
  • Design, develop, and improve data pipelines
  • Build and maintain metadata-driven ingestion and orchestration frameworks
  • Perform integration testing to support data quality and system stability
  • Execute data mirroring activities from Oracle to Microsoft Fabric
  • Contribute to data modelling for analytics and reporting solutions
  • Support Microsoft Purview implementation, including:
    • Data scanning
    • Cataloguing
    • Governance enablement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the data modernisation programme
  • Work within an Agile delivery environment, supporting consistent and high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • Experience in Data Engineering, including hands-on work with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience designing and developing data pipelines
  • Experience with data modelling for analytics and reporting
  • Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms (data warehouse and lakehouse architectures)
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with metadata-driven ingestion frameworks and orchestration tools
  • Experience with Fabric mirroring capabilities and data replication technologies
  • Experience working on data platform modernisation initiatives
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview (scanning, cataloguing, governance)
  • Prior experience working with Oracle databases
