Duties and Responsibilities
Integrate cybersecurity, digital forensics, and law-enforcement investigative processes to establish effective workflows for transitioning cyber incidents and digital evidence to authorized investigative authorities.
Develop cross-functional training programs that bridge cyber operations, digital forensics, and law-enforcement investigations using realistic operational and investigative scenarios.
Develop and deliver digital evidence training covering identification, collection, preservation, examination, analysis, documentation, chain of custody, and disposition.
Align evidence-handling procedures and training with applicable partner-nation law-enforcement policies, investigative requirements, and evidence-integrity standards.
Collaborate with partner-nation organizations to assess investigative processes, identify capability gaps, and incorporate existing procedures into cybersecurity and digital-forensics curricula.
Develop cybersecurity, digital-forensics, and investigative curricula and training materials, including lesson plans, instructor guides, student materials, case studies, practical exercises, assessments, labs, workshops, and tabletop exercises.
Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training to partner-nation cybersecurity, digital-forensics, investigative, and law-enforcement personnel, including mentoring to build sustainable local training capabilities.
Improve interagency coordination and investigative handoffs by identifying gaps in information sharing, incident response, evidence handling, and coordination between cyber and law-enforcement organizations.
Assess partner-nation cyber-investigation and digital-forensics capabilities and identify gaps in training, procedures, personnel, technology, and organizational coordination.
Develop capability-development recommendations and improvement roadmaps that establish repeatable, sustainable processes connecting cyber defense, digital forensics, and law-enforcement investigations.
Travel to The Bahamas for short-duration temporary duty assignments as required.
Qualifications
U.S. citizen
Training: Formal training in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) fundamentals; chain-of-custody procedures and evidence handling, and law enforcement investigative processes.
Experience: 5 -7+ years of progressive experience in digital forensics, cybercrime investigations, or law enforcement technical support. Experience must include integrating cybersecurity training with real-world investigative workflows, including evidence identification, collection, preservation, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
Certifications: One or more of the following EnCE, GCFE, GCFA, or equivalent DFIR certification.
Law Enforcement Integration: Demonstrated experience training law enforcement personnel, criminal investigators, prosecutors, or investigate teams on digital forensics, cybercrime investigations, digital evidence or related technical topics.
International Engagement: Demonstrated experience providing international training or international engagement. Work experience must include delivering DFIR training in low-resource environments.
Training Delivery: Demonstrated ability to tailor complex forensics concepts and investigative techniques to operational requirements for non-technical audiences, particularly law enforcement, government, policy, and governance stakeholders.
Communication & Deliverables: Demonstrated experience briefing leadership and decision makers. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop professional reports, training materials, policy products, briefings, and other program deliverables for government and interagency audiences.
Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to OCONUS for short-duration temporary duty assignments.
