This position requires a motivated individual with the experience to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will provide strategic communication advice and craft messaging in response to technical issues and incidents that pose reputational and brand risks.
We’re seeking a communications expert with a strong sense of urgency as you will take on a hands-on role during incidents. Exceptional written communication skills are essential as you will contribute to proactive materials such as customer communications, blog posts and communication playbooks. This senior communications position reports to the Head of Crisis Response, Marketing and Communications.
Representing communications as part of a cross-functional incident response team, you will embody our value of “Don’t #@!% the customer” as you:
Manage and support Crisis Communications response during incidents, addressing real-time issues in the APAC timezone while implementing established crisis communication protocols and processes
Collaborate with Legal, Customer Support, Engineering, and other regional team members to ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and demonstrate our values and commitment to customers
Available on-call after hours during high-severity crisis events
Engage with media contacts in collaboration with PR, utilizing approved statements to manage regional media inquiries, provide accurate information, and help shape the narrative during crises

5+ years of reputation management and crisis communications experience
Background in enterprise tech/SaaS is essential, security experience is helpful
Experience managing high profile incidents simultaneously
Exemplary written skills, including the ability to quickly translate complex, technical detail into succinct, easy-to-digest communications
Experience in media relations, working with technology journalists, and managing media inquiries.
Experience in managing reputation risks and developing proactive communication strategies.
Experience working collaboratively and partnering across a highly distributed organization
