JOB TITLE: Cloud Solutions Architect (AI Focus)

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DHS ICE - OSDSS

POSITION INFORMATION: Full time

LOCATION: Remote

POSITION TIMING: Candidate must obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance, which typically takes 4 to 6+ weeks to process. Clearance must be fully granted before starting on the program.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect with expertise in Azure and/or AWS to support the DHS ICE OSDSS program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure design, AI integration, and SecDevOps environments, acting as a trusted advisor to both development teams and the client.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS/Azure to support development teams. 

• Architect and optimize overall cloud environments, ensuring compliance, performance, and long-term sustainability. 

• Provide expert-level guidance for the integration and deployment of AI solutions in cloud environments. 

• Lead efforts to integrate and migrate new tools, platforms, and services into existing SecDevOps pipelines. 

• Optimize cloud spend, including VM burn time, right-sizing resources, and eliminating unused VMs. 

• Deliver third-tier support for outages and complex system issues. 

• Act as a strategic advisor to both the client and development teams regarding cloud services, integration timelines, and product roadmaps. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED: 

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect/Solutions Architect in AWS, Azure, or both. 

• Hands-on experience designing and supporting AI/ML solutions in the cloud. 

• Strong background in SecDevOps and/or CI/CD integration within cloud environments. 

• Expertise in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance. 

DESIRED: 

• Cloud certifications, strongly preferred 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role is performed in a remote work environment. The employee must have a suitable home office setup with reliable internet access to perform job duties effectively. The position is largely sedentary and requires the ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and other standard office equipment for extended periods of time.
