Experience Level
We're looking for a Business Analyst with 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and working closely with engineering teams. Experience with data extraction, web portals, automation, or scraping projects would be a plus.
Role Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with the client and engineering teams to understand workflows across payer portals, identify the data that needs to be extracted, and translate these findings into clear requirements for automation.
You will also be expected to quickly learn the Dental RCM domain, understand payer workflows, and translate business processes into actionable requirements for engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Eligibility Data Gathering: Navigate payer portals to identify and gather the required data points for insurance eligibility checks, including coverage details, member information, benefits, eligibility status, and other relevant information.
- Process Discovery: Manually navigate payer portals to understand workflows, identify required data, and document the process.
- Requirements Gathering: Convert business workflows into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
- Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to explain requirements, clarify edge cases, and validate the automated solution.
- Data Analysis: Analyze portal data, identify patterns and variations, and define what needs to be extracted and how it should be interpreted.
- Client Collaboration: Work with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, validate assumptions, and communicate findings.
- Domain Learning: Quickly develop an understanding of Dental RCM, payer processes, and related terminology.
- Validation & Testing: Compare automated workflows with the manual process and identify gaps or discrepancies.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Business Analysis Experience: Strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to break down complex workflows and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Technical Acumen: Good understanding of software development, web applications, APIs, data, and automation concepts.
- Strong Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify data points, business rules, exceptions, and edge cases accurately.
- Agile Experience: Experience working with Agile teams and familiarity with user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery.
- Domain Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new domains. Dental RCM experience is a plus.
- Nice to Have: Experience with web scraping, data extraction, automation, SQL, Excel, Jira, or similar tools.
