As we continue to scale our global platform, the Athlete Relations Associate, Signings will play a critical role in coordinating athlete memorabilia signings and events across the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and beyond.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Athlete Relations Associate, Signings to support the planning and execution of athlete memorabilia signings and events. This individual will serve as a key point of contact between internal departments, external vendors, and athlete representatives—managing product flow, event logistics, expense tracking, and athlete communications from pre-event preparation through post-event follow-up. The Athlete Relations Associate, Signings delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)

• Serve as a key liaison with athletes, agents, and internal departments throughout the signing process and contract lifecycle, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to coordinate seamless event execution and product logistics.
• Represent Fanatics Commerce with professionalism and enthusiasm, acting as a brand ambassador at signings and events.

Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)

• Lead and support the execution of athlete memorabilia signings, events, and virtual appearances that deliver memorable, high-quality fan experiences.
• Ensure a seamless experience from pre-event preparation through post-event follow-up, maintaining the highest standard of service for athletes and fans alike.
• Manage athlete requests and contract assets to ensure partner commitments are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Respond to donation requests and other fan-facing inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges in time-sensitive, fast-paced event environments.
• Develop and refine processes for tracking product flow, athlete requests, and signing-related assets to improve operational efficiency.

• Leverage digital tools and data to improve communication, record-keeping, and event performance tracking.

Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)

• Maintain accurate records and reconcile expense reports for all signing-related activities, ensuring financial accountability.
• Support the tracking and logistics of product and contract assets across multiple concurrent partnerships and events.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout all phases of event planning and execution.
• Travel extensively (up to 80% of the time) to execute partner meetings, signings, and events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

Required Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in sports, events, relationship management, or related fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with high-profile athletes, agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organized with demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in time-sensitive situations.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage relationships with high-profile individuals with discretion and professionalism.
• Deep knowledge of the professional sports landscape across leagues including the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with availability for up to 80% travel.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand 8–12 hours per day at signings and events.
