Job DetailsJob Location: MIAMI, FL 33137Position Type: Independent Contractor (IC)Salary Range: $2,000.00 - $2,000.00 CommissionGeneral Summary of Duties:  YoungArts is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized temporary Anthology Coordinator to assist with the design, minor layout or editorial changes and edits, and production of the 2027 Young Arts Week Anthology— a print and digital collection showcasing selected young artists’ works across Visual Art, Photography, Design, Film, and Writing. This role serves as the central point of coordination between the hired Editor, Discipline Coordinators, the Communications team, and outside external printers, ensuring that artworks and written pieces are collected, reviewed, edited, and produced on schedule for both print and digital (Issuu) release.  This is a temporary contractor role requiring close collaboration across departments and vendors, strong project tracking management, and hands-on follow-through from initial content collection through final book delivery and distribution. This contractor position will span from November 1, 2026 through project completion, January 30, 2027. An extension to the contract may be considered contingent on business needs.      QualificationsDirect Reporting:  The anthology coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director, Early Recognition Programs. Essential and Other Responsibilities (perform other duties as assigned):  Editorial Coordination   Serve as the primary point of contact for the hired Anthology Editor and manage the project timeline   Work with Discipline Coordinators to confirm Writing, Film, Visual Art, Photography, and Design selections    Collect and circulate edits to selected Winners for review; track and confirm final edits    Coordinate final edits pre-print with the Editor and relevant staff   Maintain a checklist of Winner information across all five disciplines   Production & Print Coordination   Maintain and update project folders for compiling writing documents and tracking drafts   Track key production deadlines   Send final files to the printer and coordinate PDF page galleys for Winners to review before print   Confirm book delivery to the YoungArts campus ahead of the YoungArts Week deadline, January 2027  Safety Responsibilities:  Adhere to all safety and security policies of the organization including those pertaining to physical safety and practices. Report any potential or actual violations to security and HR as appropriate.  Qualifications and Experience Requirements:  To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Commitment to YoungArts’ values of excellence, collaboration, community, experimentation, respect, and integrity as key strategies toward creating and supporting empathy, a sense of belonging, and humanity to foster the greatest potential for innovation, creativity, and collaboration.   Prior experience in publications, editorial coordination, or project management is required, and a plus if, in an arts or education setting   Experience working with editors, designers, or printers on a print publication is preferred   Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple contributors, disciplines, and vendors against a shared deadline   Experience working with Adobe managing files and comfortable building layout and graphic design  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable calling artists/Winners directly to confirm details   Ability to work cross-functionally with Discipline Coordinators, Communications, and external vendors   Evidence of strong leadership skills, including decisiveness, emotional intelligence, prioritization, negotiation, and equanimity in a fast-paced environment.     Please submit a portfolio or work sample(s) to your application. (Note size limit of 5MB) Education and/or Credentialing Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and/or experience  Preferred: Work samples/design portfolio  Working conditions, typical physical/mental demands: YoungArts’ physical campus and headquarters are in Miami, FL. The responsibilities of this role may be fulfilled remotely or in Miami, FL.  General working hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
