AI Summary

Manage Amazon catalogue entries and variation listings across multiple EU marketplaces using flat files and Seller Central tools. Proactively monitor account health, resolve listing suppressions, and handle Seller Support cases to ensure maximum uptime.

We're a bootstrapped ecommerce company selling dietary supplements on Amazon across multiple European markets (DE, IT, FR, ES, SE, NL, and more). Our product line is growing, and we need someone who lives and breathes Amazon Seller Central to keep our account bulletproof and our listings performing.

This is a hands-on execution role. You will own a task queue and work through it independently, accurately, and fast. We measure success in three ways: listings stay live, tasks get done right the first time, and we don't have to chase you.

Tasks

WHAT YOU'LL DO

These are real tasks from our current backlog — this is the actual day-to-day work:

  • Create new catalogue entries (new ASINs, all EU marketplaces, via flat files and the Add Products tool)
  • Update titles and listing content — including the stubborn ones where Amazon rejects the change and you have to work out why (contribution conflicts, Brand Registry paths, catalog team escalations) and push it through
  • Build, fix, and maintain variation listings — parent-child relationships, variation themes per category and marketplace, merging and splitting variations, correcting miscategorized ASINs
  • Consolidate reviews across variation families — done correctly and within Amazon's variation policy
  • Audit our ASINs against FBA size/pricing tiers — catch mis-measured dimensions, request re-measurement, and file fee reimbursement claims where Amazon has overcharged us
  • Flag pricing errors and anything else that looks off before it costs us money
  • Reinstate suppressed, flagged, or deactivated listings — diagnose fast, fix fast; no listing stays down on your watch
  • Open and drive Seller Support / Seller Performance cases — well-framed, evidence-backed cases; escalate when needed; follow up relentlessly; never accept a canned response as final
  • Monitor Account Health proactively — policy compliance, IP complaints, listing quality alerts, EU compliance requirements (e.g. GPSR responsible-person data, supplement labeling) before they become problems

Requirements

HOW WE WORK (READ THIS CAREFULLY)

  • You work independently. You get a task queue with priorities, not step-by-step instructions. You figure out the "how," flag genuine blockers early, and close the loop without being chased.
  • Done means verified. A task is finished when you've confirmed the change is live on the storefront in every affected marketplace — not when the flat file was uploaded.
  • Accuracy over apologies. You QA your own flat files before upload and read the processing report after. Repeated careless errors are the #1 reason this role has turned over before — we're saying that openly so the right person self-selects in.
  • Efficiency matters. You'll estimate time for tasks and we'll compare estimates to actuals. We happily pay good rates for fast, correct work; we won't pay slow hours for routine tasks.
  • Async-first communication. Short, clear written updates: what's done, what's blocked and why, what's next. You surface problems — we never discover them ourselves first.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Deep Amazon Seller Central expertise — you've managed accounts with complex catalogs across multiple EU marketplaces
  • Proven track record with catalog management — variations, flat files, ASIN merges, listing reinstatements. You know the difference between a partial update and a full update, and you can read a processing-report error code without googling it
  • Expert at navigating Amazon Support — you know when to call, when to email, when to escalate, and how to frame cases for fast resolution
  • Experience with supplements or restricted product categories is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working across EU Amazon marketplaces (DE, IT, FR, ES, SE, NL)
  • Proactive and detail-oriented — you catch problems before they escalate
  • Strong written communicator — you'll update us on open issues and explain technical Amazon problems clearly
  • Proficiency in English (German is a plus but not required)

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with Brand Registry, A+ Content management, and IP complaint resolution
  • Familiarity with EU supplement/food labeling regulations (health claims, GPSR) and how they intersect with Amazon compliance
  • Experience with FBA fee reimbursement claims (dimension re-measurement, fee category corrections)

HOW TO APPLY

Start your proposal with the word UPTIME so we know you've read this far. Then answer these five points, in this order, numbered:

  1. Accounts you've managed: number of ASINs, marketplaces, categories, and your specific responsibility (not the agency's — yours).
  2. A catalog problem you personally fixed: pick one — a suppressed listing, a broken variation family, or a title update Amazon kept rejecting. Describe the exact diagnosis and the exact steps that resolved it. Specifics matter more than length.
  3. Time estimates: how long would it take you to (a) create a new 3-child variation family on amazon.de via flat file, and (b) diagnose a suppressed listing and file the first case? Give honest numbers in minutes/hours.
  4. Availability: weekly hours you can commit, your working hours (time zone), and your hourly rate.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid test task (real flat-file work, ~1–2 hours at your quoted rate) before a final interview.
