Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Computer Science has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. We are looking for the support of highly qualified, capable, and experienced adjunct instructors.Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Computer Science is looking for the support of highly qualified, capable, and experienced adjunct instructors. Presently, there is a specific need for faculty to teach Introductory Programming (Java and Python), Computer Architecture, Internet Application Development, and Algorithms.
Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and evening.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to students
Instruct an assigned course providing syllabi and other instructional materials
Use of university learning management systems to deliver instruction
Teaching of a specified course
Preparation of materials
Grade reporting and assessment
In addition to meeting all scheduled class sessions, adjunct faculty are expected to offer one hour of office hours per week.

Required
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field. Previous teaching/training experience.
