Amlenetug is an investigational therapy that has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) or any indication. Additional research and information are needed to fully evaluate its safety and efficacy.
SUMMARY:
The VP Marketing, Movement Disorders through practical and visionary leadership, is responsible for defining and executing the overall amlenetug marketing vision and commercialization strategy to drive successful brand performance, launch readiness, market shaping, and long-term business growth. This role leads all HCP and patient personal, non-personal, and omnichannel marketing efforts for amlenetug, with a strong focus on patient and caregiver experience, disease-state education, customer engagement, and rare neurodegenerative disease ecosystem development.
The VP provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across the extended brand team and key cross-functional partners (including Global), ensuring alignment of brand positioning, segmentation, messaging, patient services, and business objectives across the organization. This leader is responsible for lifecycle planning, launch execution, organizational capability building, and developing high-impact marketing strategies grounded in a deep understanding of the patient, caregiver, and HCP journey within Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Vision and Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the US amlenetug marketing vision and commercialization strategy in partnership with the BU Head and key cross-functional leaders.
- Drive launch readiness, disease-state market shaping, brand performance, lifecycle planning, and customer engagement strategies for amlenetug.
- Ensure alignment of brand positioning, segmentation, messaging, and business objectives across the organization.
- Develop patient, caregiver, payer, and HCP-centered strategies that improve diagnosis, treatment, and customer experience for individuals living with MSA.
- Oversee integrated go-to-market planning, disease-state education, omnichannel engagement, and field readiness initiatives.
- Leverage market insights, analytics, and competitive intelligence to optimize strategy, execution, and business performance.
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, Advocacy, and Analytics to shape the MSA treatment ecosystem and support successful commercialization.
- Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy organizations, movement disorder specialists, academic medical centers, and Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- Represent the commercial organization at internal leadership meetings, field meetings, advisory boards, and relevant industry engagements, as appropriate.
- Build and maintain a high-performing commercial culture focused on purpose-driven executional excellence and sustainable business performance.
Marketing Capabilities and Processes
- Lead the evolution of amlenetug marketing capabilities, processes, and organizational effectiveness to support launch excellence and long-term growth.
- Oversee HCP personal, patient, non-personal, and omnichannel marketing strategy and execution.
- Drive integrated customer engagement strategies tailored to rare neurodegenerative disease and specialty neurology audiences.
- Leverage data, analytics, and customer insights to optimize marketing performance and business outcomes.
- Ensure alignment and execution across extended brand teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Establish best practices for brand planning, operational excellence, and launch preparedness.
- Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, payer dynamics, treatment ecosystem, diagnostic pathway, and emerging clinical developments within the MSA space.
- Foster a high-performing, accountable, and innovative marketing culture.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Accredited bachelor’s degree.
- 12+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical commercial or consulting marketing experience supporting the biopharmaceutical industry including specialty therapeutics, sales, marketing, market access, or launch commercialization.
- 10+ years of brand marketing experience, digital marketing, omnichannel strategy, and digital transformation with at least 3 years of experience in specialty marketing.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience developing high-performing teams.
- Strong command of strategic marketing, launch planning, customer engagement strategy, execution, and analytics.
- Experience developing disease-state education, market shaping, and customer engagement strategies.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of the patient, caregiver, and HCP experience within rare and specialty disease states.
- Enterprise mindset with the ability to drive measurable and sustainable business outcomes.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across the organization and drive business growth.
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Accredited MBA or master’s degree.
- Expertise in Neuro Rare, rare disease, epilepsy, or neurology pharmaceutical marketing.
- Previous second-line leadership experience.
- Experience leading successful product launch and pre-launch market development initiatives.
- Experience developing complex patient service and distribution/HUB models.
- Commercial cross-functional knowledge specific to specialty therapies and complex patient treatment journeys.
- Experience engaging advocacy organizations, centers of excellence, and specialty provider networks.
- Experience leading omnichannel marketing strategies across personal and non-personal promotion.
- Understanding of specialty access pathways, referral networks, and complex treatment journeys.

TRAVEL
- Willingness/Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time is required. Travel is primarily domestic, but occasional international travel is required.
- If based remotely, additional travel will be required to Deerfield, IL, to meet the needs of the role and the business.
The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $320,000 - $370,000 and eligibility for a 35% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
