The therapist will assess the clinical needs of children and families and provide individual and family therapy sessions. They are responsible for maintaining clinical records, collaborating with case managers, and participating in case staffings to ensure effective service delivery.
Job Summary:
To assess clinical needs of parents, caregivers, and children served by JFCS Child Safety FAST Services and provide individual and family therapy based on the assessed needs of the individual and/or family. Assess all child safety concerns and share information with the assigned Case Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in Social Work , Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: 2 years experience counseling children and families preferred.
Knowledge and skills in: Identification of abused and neglected children and adults; child development, individual and family functioning; working with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families; collaborating with other disciplines and services; skills in group dynamics and leading group discussions.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW or LMFT)
