What we are doing:

Our mission is to prevent vision loss and ultimately blindness by developing software that assists eye doctors in therapy planning for their patients. By systematically analyzing thousands of historical clinical cases and millions of ocular images, our software identifies and predicts disease progression. Our cloud-based decision support targets common eye diseases such as Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD, which affects 7.5 million people in Germany alone).

Tasks

What You’ll Do

  • Full-scale development of medical software applications, in compliance with our medical Quality management system.
  • System Integration: Act as the "architect" to integrate various software modules into complex, larger-scale systems
  • Rigorous Testing: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system resilience.
  • Deployment & Installation: Manage the installation and configuration of applications within Windows or Cloud environments, ensuring seamless delivery.
  • You also introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates

Requirements

What we are looking for

Your must-haves

  • 2+ years of industrial experience in software architecture, software design patterns and development, software releases, database management, networking concepts, and cybersecurity
  • 4+ years of experience in developing software in Python and 1+ system programming languages.
  • Good understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure, cloud deployment, GPU, REST API, and authentication

Your nice-to-haves

  • Degree in computer science, physics, engineering or similar
  • Experience with medical device software development, following QMS/SOPs to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in CI/CD and software test automation: unit, integration and system testing
  • Working-level English (C1 or higher)
