JOB SUMMARY
The Application Developer is responsible for delivering ServiceNow enhancements, integrations, and backlog remediation aligned to the client's business priorities. The Developer will work closely with the Solution Architect and Business Analyst to design, build, and deploy scalable, AI-enabled ServiceNow solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver ServiceNow enhancements, configurations, and backlog items aligned to sprint priorities and business objectives.
- Design and build custom REST API integrations with external systems in alignment with the platform architecture.
- Implement AI-enabled development practices and leverage the ServiceNow AI stack, including Now Assist and Predictive Intelligence, to improve solution quality and efficiency.
- Partner with the Solution Architect and stakeholders to design scalable, best-practice ServiceNow solutions.
- Apply automation principles to improve speed, quality, and delivery efficiency across the backlog.
- Support sprint execution, including development, peer review, testing, deployment preparation, and continuous platform improvement.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and adherence to the Team Working Agreement.
- [Lead Developers] Provide technical guidance and code reviews for Senior Developers; serve as a point of escalation for complex development challenges.
- [Lead Developers] Take ownership of complex integrations and high-priority backlog items requiring architectural alignment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Lead: 9–12 years of ServiceNow development experience; Senior: 6–9 years.
- Strong hands-on development skills in ServiceNow, including Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and REST API integrations.
- Solid understanding of ITSM module configuration and platform governance principles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams with Jira or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled ServiceNow features (Now Assist, Predictive Intelligence).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex, customized environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with both ITSM and CSM modules — preferred as the engagement may expand to CSM in a future phase.
- Prior exposure to large enterprise or regulated industry environments (healthcare, medical devices, or similar).
- ServiceNow micro-certifications or badges in AI, Now Assist, or automation features.
