COMPANY PROFILE

CodeAI is an education innovation nonprofit dedicated to the vision that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn about artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science (CS) as part of their core K-12 education. We increase participation in AI+CS education by reaching students of all backgrounds where they are — at their skill level, in their schools, and in ways that inspire them to keep learning, with a focus on increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. The leading provider of K-12 AI+CS education curriculum across the globe, CodeAI also organizes the annual Hour of AI campaign, building on the legacy of the Hour of Code, which has engaged more than 15% of all students in the world!

A unifying approach in a divided world

CodeAI's global role in the K-12 computer science movement is only possible because we use a unifying approach across diverse and often divided stakeholders. At a time of increasing polarization, the idea of increasing opportunity for students unites people from across the political spectrum. CodeAI's team members, students, teachers, and supporters have diverse and diverging view points, and they are all welcome in our mission. Read more

JOB SUMMARY

Students are already using AI. Our job is to make sure they understand it, and your job is to make that mission impossible to scroll past. As Sr. Social Content Manager, you bring CodeAI to life across our social platforms, making the content people see, share, and remember.

This is a hands-on creative role. You'll concept, produce, and publish social-first content every day: graphics, short-form video, and platform-native posts that connect with educators, students, parents, and advocates. You'll set the point of view for what CodeAI looks, sounds, and feels like on every platform, and evolve it as those platforms shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will own CodeAI's social creative end-to-end: the idea, the post, and what the numbers tell you to do next.

Concepting & Creative Direction

  • Own social-first concepting and creative development for CodeAI, setting the direction for what we make and why, not just how it gets produced.
  • Develop original concepts that translate CodeAI's mission, campaigns, and moments into ideas built for social, not adapted to it.
  • Bring a clear point of view on what CodeAI content should look like on each platform, and evolve it as platforms and audiences change.

Production & Publishing

  • Follow through from concept to execution: script, shoot, design, edit, caption, and publish, owning the full production process and the quality of the final post.
  • Capture and create real-time content at conferences, keynotes, livestreams, and other high-visibility events, including pre-event promotion, live coverage, and post-event recaps.
  • Spotlight the voices of teachers, students, and partners through authentic, story-driven content.

Trends & Experimentation

  • Monitor emerging trends, formats, sounds, and platform updates daily, and move quickly to create timely content while the moment is still live.
  • Run creative experiments (formats, hooks, thumbnails, posting cadence) and use what performs, in our feeds and across the broader landscape, to sharpen the next round.

Community Management & Engagement

  • Manage day-to-day engagement across CodeAI's channels, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in CodeAI's voice and escalating issues when needed.
  • Grow and nurture our community of educators, students, parents, donors, and advocates by starting conversations and joining relevant ones.
  • Monitor sentiment and surface what our audiences are saying, asking, and caring about to inform content and messaging.

Influencer & Creator Partnerships

  • Identify and vet influencers, creators, and educator and student voices whose audiences and values align with our mission, and own the outreach that builds those relationships.
  • Write clear creative briefs that give partners direction, talking points, and brand and accessibility guardrails while leaving room for their own voice.
  • Manage the partnership lifecycle end to end: coordinate deliverables and timelines, review content for brand and message alignment, and support publishing.
  • Track partnership performance (reach, engagement, conversions) and use it to refine who we partner with and how.

Collaboration & Measurement

  • Partner with our creative, marketing, PR, and paid media teams so social content supports campaigns, launches, and advertising, and contribute ideas to content calendars and campaign planning.
  • Track content performance with our Marketing Analyst to understand what's resonating, and apply those insights to what you make next.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We seek candidates who have:

  • 8-10 years of experience creating content for brand or organizational social media channels.
  • A portfolio of social-first work demonstrating strong graphic design and short-form video skills (please include links or examples with your application).
  • Hands-on proficiency with creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar, plus social publishing and analytics tools.
  • A demonstrated instinct for trends, platform culture, and what performs, with the speed to act on it.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to match a brand voice across platforms.
  • The ability to collaborate across internal teams and manage multiple projects on a fast-moving calendar.
  • A background or experience in AI, computer science, or a related technical field, and the curiosity to translate those topics into engaging social content.

We prefer candidates who also have:

  • Experience covering live events, working with creators or influencers, or creating content for education, nonprofit, or youth audiences.

In addition, candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Work within the continental United States
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Be willing to travel up to 20% of the time for team events, conferences, and on-site content capture
