About the job
  
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and deliver a modern web application from the ground up, leveraging an existing design system. The role will own frontend development, API integration, and automated testing, collaborating closely with backend, platform, and QA teams to deliver a reliable, production-ready user experience.

What you’ll do:

• Build and configure frontend application foundations, including authentication and login experiences, while leveraging established design systems and UI standards.
• Develop user-facing dashboards and status views that provide clear, responsive experiences for customers and users.
• Integrate document upload and management capabilities into the frontend application, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
• Implement notification and communication preferences, integrating frontend experiences with supporting backend services.
• Perform functional and UI testing throughout development to identify and address issues early.
• Develop and maintain frontend test automation, including end-to-end testing, and troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to validate application quality and production readiness before launch.
• Support the production launch of the application, coordinating with backend, platform, and QA teams to ensure a successful release.
• Work within defined product scope and priorities, balancing delivery commitments while ensuring the application remains maintainable and scalable.

What you’ll need:

• Solid experience developing modern frontend applications with React, Next.js, or an equivalent framework, including authentication, session management, and secure frontend patterns.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs for identity, document management, notifications, and other backend services.
• Experience developing and maintaining frontend test automation, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, with the ability to own QA activities independently.
• Experience working within and extending an established design system, reusable component library, or shared UI framework.
• Solid understanding of responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web application development across modern browsers and devices.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving frontend integration issues, defects, and performance problems throughout the development lifecycle.
• Experience collaborating with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to validate functionality and ensure production readiness.
• Experience supporting frontend application launches, including release validation, end-to-end testing, defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
• Ability to manage priorities and maintain defined product scope, communicating trade-offs and pushing back constructively when requirements expand.
