POSITION TIMING: Candidate must obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance, which typically takes 4 to 6+ weeks to process. Clearance must be fully granted before starting on the program.

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer II with strong Linux administration and DevOps experience to support cloud-based IT infrastructure for DHS/ICE in a secure, mission-driven environment. This role analyzes functional business and technical requirements, implements specifications, and identifies and resolves problems within existing systems while supporting the design, implementation, and enhancement of new and existing systems. The Cloud Engineer II participates in continuous analysis for performance, process, and security improvements, and contributes to the development and build of next-generation IT systems.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supporting and securing cloud-based systems in AWS and Azure, administering UNIX/Linux systems at scale, and developing with DevOps tools such as Ansible. This role is responsible for understanding the needs of the customer and the realities of FedRAMP-available IT products, and for translating those needs into requirements that can be implemented by the architecture and engineering team using COTS products. Experience with system engineering in one or more areas — including computer languages, operating systems, or DevOps — is essential.
