About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Service Line Manager to lead, grow, and professionalize our SAP consulting Service Line. This role combines people leadership, delivery excellence, and close collaboration with sales and operations to ensure high-quality, scalable, and profitable service delivery.
The SAP Service Line Manager owns the professional excellence, capability development, and resourcing readiness of the Service Line, while partnering closely with sales, project managers, and other players to support a future oriented setup of the Service Line and Succesful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Service Line Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and execute the service line’s professional strategy in alignment with business goals
  • Develop and maintain a strong, future-ready capability portfolio (skills, roles, certifications)
  • Act as the professional owner of the service line toward sales, other Service Lines in the SAP ecosystem of our company, and leadership
People & Talent Management
  • Lead and mentor functional leaders within the service line
  • Drive continuous professional development, training plans, and certification paths
  • Support recruitment activities, professional interviews, and onboarding
  • Foster a strong team culture focused on quality, accountability, and collaboration
  • Contribute to performance evaluations, career development, and retention initiatives
Delivery Excellence & Quality
  • Ensure high delivery standards across projects (methodology, quality gates, best practices)
  • Support estimation, solution shaping, and proposal quality during presales
  • Act as an escalation point for professional and capability-related delivery issues
  • Safeguard scope, standards, and professional integrity across engagements
Resource & Capacity Management
  • Maintain visibility on capacity, skills, and utilization within the service line
  • Proactively align resource availability with sales pipeline and delivery demand
  • Support workforce planning for growth and expansion
Sales & Presales Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales and Key Account teams on opportunity shaping and solutioning
  • Contribute to Statements of Work (SoW), effort estimates, and value propositions
  • Support account farming, upsell opportunities, and trusted advisor positioning
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to C-Level and Management Team
  • Promote transparency on skills, availability, and delivery readiness toward sales

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in SAP / enterprise solution delivery environments
  • In-depth experience in SAP consulting, delivery, or professional services environments on service provider side
  • 5+ years experience on buyer (client) side SAP project management, or functional SAP team leadership
  • Exposure to global delivery models and multicultural teams
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional or distributed SAP teams
  • Strong background in SAP service delivery, resource management, and quality governance
  • Budget planning and management for global organization
  • Experience working closely with SAP sales and presales teams
  • Solid understanding of commercial constructs (SoW, estimates, margins, utilization)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across senior SAP stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a fast-growing, international SAP organization
  • Living in Hungary, Budapest, or in DACH region
  • English and preferably German language proficiency on business communication level
  • University degree in IT or Economics or similar qualification
  • Willingness to travel globally on occasion
  • Preferably certified in one of the project management methodologies with good standing

Nice to Have
  • Coaching or mentoring certification
  • Experience building or scaling a service line or practice
  • Methodology knowledge (e.g. SAP Activate, Agile, Hybrid delivery models)
  • MBA
  • Hungarian language
