Position Overview
Region Sales Managers are responsible for leading their assigned region to develop and implement sales as well as product distribution strategies. Provide leadership capability to grow and develop region team members to accelerate within the company.
**To maximize efficiency and support the travel demands of this role, the preferred candidate will reside near a major commercial airport in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, or Tennessee.**

- Lead and manage field sales teams (Territory Managers, Sales Merchandisers, and Field Sales Managers) to ensure execution of sales and distribution objectives.
- Drive distribution growth by securing and maintaining authorized items across DeCA and exchange locations within the region.
- Ensure retail execution excellence, including in-stock conditions, planogram compliance, and promotional display execution.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company goals and manufacturer partner objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissary and exchange leadership, and other key retail partners.
- Monitor sales performance and KPIs, including distribution, velocity, in-stock percentages, and promotional compliance.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management for field team members to improve effectiveness and accountability.
- Coordinate new item launches, resets, and promotional programs across the region to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Communicate regularly with internal leadership and brand partners regarding sales performance, market conditions, and execution opportunities.
- Conduct regular store visits and market reviews to evaluate execution, identify opportunities, and resolve issues impacting sales.
- Collaborate with supply chain and distributor partners to address out-of-stocks, inventory issues, and product flow challenges.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews, forecasts, and strategic updates for company leadership and manufacturer partners.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess effective selling skills and techniques
- Possess knowledge of Military Commissary/Exchange Sales
- Can communicate clearly with buyers, clients, and customers
- Knowledge of grocery merchandising methodology
- Knowledge of grocery marketing methodology
- Must have good command of the English language, both orally and written.
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- 3-5 years of proven leadership in managerial role
- High School education /GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based applications.
- Home office space with broadband internet connectivity a must
- Employees are required to use their personal vehicle for business purposes
Physical Demands
- Must be able to work while standing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in cold storage areas for extended periods of time
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 25lbs
- Overnight travel required
Schedule
- Region Managers are expected to maintain a high level of ownership over their markets and be reasonably accessible outside of standard business hours when urgent business needs arise. This includes responding to time-sensitive issues, supporting key customers, and ensuring continuity of operations.
