Python Developer (AI)

Kindgeek is looking for a business-minded engineer who thrives at the intersection of code and real-world problems. Your mission will be to embed directly with business users understanding how they work, designing automation that fits, and shipping production-grade AI agents that make their day-to-day measurably easier. This role sits at the centre of our AI automation programme, where engineering rigour meets commercial judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Engaging directly with business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities and translate them into clear engineering requirements;
• Designing, building, and deploying AI agents and automated workflows using our internal agent framework, writing production-quality Python throughout;
• Owning the full delivery lifecycle of each initiative scoping, development, testing, deployment, and handover to business users;
• Instrumenting agents for observability and building test harnesses that validate behaviour before and after deployment, with explicit failure modes and graceful degradation;
• Maintaining a short feedback loop with stakeholders surfacing blockers and scope changes early rather than resolving them quietly;
• Documenting solutions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences, treating documentation as part of the deliverable;
• Contributing to the evolution of our agent framework, including reusable components, prompt patterns, and evaluation tooling.

REQUIREMENTS

We're looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer who has:

• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience (we'll consider exceptional candidates below this band);
• Production-grade Python proficiency — clean, testable, maintainable code, with ownership of what you ship;
• Experience building and deploying automated workflows or AI agents in a business context (LLM orchestration, tool-use, RAG, or similar);
• Ability to design and implement evaluation and test harnesses for non-deterministic systems;
• Comfort working across the stack — API integration, data transformation, prompt engineering, deployment infrastructure;
• Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders, translating between business needs and engineering specifics without losing precision;
• A proactive working style — you raise issues early, share status without prompting, and escalate rather than paper over problems;
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Will be a plus:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployment automation;
• Experience querying cloud-scale analytical data warehouses for data-driven applications;
• Experience in financial services, asset management, or another regulated industry.
