Middleware & FTP Engineer

About the Role 

We are looking for someone to manage and support middleware platforms and secure file‑transfer services within enterprise environments. The role will focus on the administration and troubleshooting of middleware integrations, ensuring reliable data exchange through FTP/SFTP and related protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining high availability, monitoring performance, and providing operational support for business‑critical systems for one of our clients based in Saudi Arabia. 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot middleware platforms within enterprise environments
  

• Manage integrations across applications, systems, and services
  

• Operate and support secure file‑transfer services (FTP/SFTP) to ensure reliable data exchange
  

• Perform root‑cause analysis and resolve issues impacting middleware and file‑transfer operations
  

• Collaborate with teams to maintain high availability and secure operations
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred; diploma or equivalent.
  

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in enterprise or production infrastructure
  

• Strong expertise in Linux administration and scripting with Bash or Python
  

• Hands‑on experience with FTP/SFTP/FTPS and secure file‑transfer services
  

• Proficiency in REST APIs, Nginx/Apache, and application servers such as Tomcat or JBoss
  

• Knowledge of TLS, certificates, and secure communication practices
  

• Experience with enterprise middleware, API integrations, and managed file transfer solutions
  

• Skilled in logging, production troubleshooting, and incident management
  

• Proven ability to support high‑availability, business‑critical systems
  

• Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration
  

• Experience with IBM, Oracle, MuleSoft, Apache‑based middleware, or similar platforms is an advantage
