About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering, hands-on experience with Python and SQL, and exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable and scalable data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
• Work with structured and semi-structured datasets from multiple sources.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Develop data processing workflows using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline performance and reliability.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Work within cloud environments to support data engineering workloads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Strong expertise in SQL and database concepts.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform:
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Good understanding of data engineering fundamentals, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
• Experience working with large datasets and data transformation workflows.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
