If you’re looking for a place where you can grow your accounting career, take ownership of your work, and learn from an experienced team, we’d love to meet you.

Safari Micro, Inc. is a privately held and well-established U.S. technology company founded in 1997 and headquartered in Chandler, Arizona.

For more than a decade, our Philippines team has been an important part of our company’s success. We have embraced a fully remote work environment and have no plans of returning to an office setup. This is a permanent work-from-home opportunity, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility and convenience of working from home while collaborating with a close-knit and highly supportive team.

Our Accounting and Finance team is made up of smart, driven, friendly, and fun-loving professionals who believe that enjoying the people we work with is an important part of building a great workplace.

Your Growth Journey at Safari

This role works the night shift (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM Philippine Time) and reports directly to our COO alongside the rest of our Accounting and Finance team.

As a Junior Accountant, your first responsibility will be to understand how our business operates—from our revenue and expense cycles to our overall financial reporting process. You will receive guidance and mentorship from an experienced team as you gradually take on greater ownership and more complex accounting responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t just complete assigned tasks but is eager to ask questions, continuously learn, and look for ways to improve processes. If you have the bandwidth and desire to expand your knowledge beyond your immediate responsibilities, we will encourage and support your growth.

What You Will Do

As you develop in the role, your responsibilities may include:

  • Learn and effectively utilize our accounting ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Support daily accounting operations and financial transactions
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and other account reconciliations
  • Assist with commission reporting and financial analysis
  • Support the review and analysis of Accounts Payable Aging, Accounts Receivable Aging, and Gross Profit reconciliations
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based employees, including our sales teams, to provide financial and operational information they need to perform their roles effectively
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes through automation, efficiency improvements, and thoughtful suggestions

This list is not all-inclusive. We value individuals who take initiative, are naturally curious, and enjoy taking on new challenges.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and most importantly, the right mindset and attitude to succeed in a high-performing team.

You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (highly preferred)
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates with strong potential who can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and succeed in this role
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, as you will regularly communicate with our U.S.-based team and external partners
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify small discrepancies that others may miss
  • A growth mindset with the humility to receive feedback, the accountability to own mistakes, and the maturity to continuously improve
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a professional, friendly, and drama-free environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • CPA license
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP system
  • Exposure to U.S.-based accounting processes or U.S. GAAP
