The Role


We are looking for a Head of Social Media to take ownership of our digital presence.

This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to schedule generic links on buffer. We need a strategist who is heavily hands-on. You will be the architect of our external voice, taking our breaking news, deep-dive journalism, and high-energy events, and translating them into a social presence that balances journalistic integrity with sharp industry wit.

You’ll start in the trenches: posting, testing, engaging, and figuring out exactly what makes our audience tick. From there, you will codify our tone of voice, build a scalable social strategy, and unite the wider marketing team under a single, powerful brand identity.


What You’ll Actually Do


  • Define and Own the Voice: Build a distinct, recognizable tone of voice for NEXT.io across all social channels (primarily LinkedIn, X, etc.). You know how to be highly credible one minute, and playfully witty the next.
  • News Distribution with a Punch: Take our high-quality editorial content and distribute it in ways that stop the scroll. No more "Read our latest article here" posts. You’ll craft hooks, threads, and insights that spark actual industry debate.
  • Turn Events into Digital FOMO: What is an event if not a community? You will lead the social strategy for our global summits, turning live panels, networking, and parties into highly engaging, community-led content before, during, and after the event.
  • Community Management: Engage directly with industry leaders, clients, and readers in the comments. You aren't just broadcasting; you are actively building a digital community.
  • Lead by Example: While you will build the high-level strategy, you’ll also be heavily hands-on initially. You will also guide and upskill other members of the marketing team who post on social media, ensuring a cohesive brand narrative.
  • Measure What Matters: Track engagement, community growth, and referral traffic, using data to iterate and improve our daily output.


Who You Are


  • A Brilliant Copywriter: You understand that social media is, at its core, about great writing. You can distill complex B2B news into punchy, witty, and engaging copy.
  • A Community Builder: You understand that B2B audiences are just humans at work. You know how to build hype, foster connections, and turn passive followers into active community members.
  • A Strategic Doer: You are perfectly comfortable writing a tweet, drafting a 6-month channel strategy, and reporting on analytics—all in the same afternoon.
  • Experience: You have 6+ years of experience managing social media for a media, events, tech, or B2B brand. (Experience in iGaming is a massive plus, but a brilliant, adaptable tone of voice is mandatory).
  • Format Fluid: You know what works in a high-impact LinkedIn post, what pops in a short-form video from an event floor, and how to adapt on the fly.
