The selected candidate will work on building ultra-fast, scalable, and reusable web components using vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3, with a strong focus on Core Web Vitals, Google PageSpeed performance, GitHub-based workflows, and Adobe ecosystem integrations.

  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Native or professional proficiency / English: C1+ reading, writing, and conversation.
  • Immediate availability preferred.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and develop highly reusable, semantic, and high-performance custom blocks and sections using vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3.
  • Set up, scaffold, and configure new Adobe Edge Delivery Services projects using the modern AEM boilerplate repository.
  • Manage Adobe EDS project configurations, including .hlx, routing, rewrites, and config.yaml.
  • Support document-based authoring workflows using Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or Adobe Document Authoring.
  • Collaborate with content creators, business stakeholders, designers, QA teams, and engineering teams to ensure smooth content publishing and page behavior.
  • Own frontend performance optimization with a strong focus on Core Web Vitals, including LCP, INP, and CLS.
  • Optimize loading strategies using eager, lazy, and delayed loading phases such as loadEager, loadLazy, and loadDelayed.
  • Implement programmatic auto-blocking and lightweight frontend interaction patterns.
  • Work with edge delivery and CDN configurations, including Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, or similar CDN platforms.
  • Manage caching strategies, TTL tuning, and edge-side includes for dynamic content components when required.
  • Maintain a Git-first development workflow using GitHub integrations, pull requests, branch management, formatting, linting, and deployment workflows.
  • Integrate Adobe EDS pages with broader Adobe environments, including AEM Assets, Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O Runtime APIs, and headless CMS capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot frontend, content, performance, and publishing issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reusable frontend standards, and best practices for scalable web delivery.

Academic Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience in frontend development, Adobe Experience Manager, or enterprise web platforms will also be considered.
  • Adobe certifications in AEM, Adobe Experience Platform, or related ecosystems are highly valued.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, and launching websites using Adobe Edge Delivery Services, Project Franklin, or Helix.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager and enterprise web development environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of vanilla JavaScript ES6+, semantic HTML5, and modern CSS3.
  • Advanced understanding of CSS custom properties, responsive design, Grid, Flexbox, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience building custom blocks, reusable sections, and lightweight components for high-performance websites.
  • Strong understanding of why heavy frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue are typically decoupled from core EDS pages.
  • Proven experience optimizing websites for Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, branch management, automated formatting, linting, and GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with document-to-HTML transformation, Markdown parsing rules, metadata tables, and content authoring workflows.
  • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • English proficiency C1+ required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating traditional AEM Sites implementations using HTL, Sightly, OSGi, Sling Models, or AEM components into Adobe EDS architecture.
  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, AEM Assets, Adobe App Builder, Adobe I/O Runtime APIs, or headless Adobe implementations.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, Open Graph schema configuration, structured metadata, and edge-side analytics injection.
  • Experience with CDN platforms such as Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting global or enterprise-level websites.
  • Adobe-certified credentials in AEM or Adobe Experience Platform ecosystems.
